Inducted into the "Who’s Who of Australian Rock and Roll" in 1998, Peter Oats has headlined some of Australia’s most renowned blues bands and supported the world’s greatest musical icons for more than three decades. His impressive list of credits include The John Meyer Band, Lindsay Wells Band, The Blues Express and Perth’s premier rhythm and soul band Lester Leaps In. Peter has supported touring acts such as Bob Dylan, The Commodores, George Thoroughgood, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, ZZ Top and has toured Germany with Australian rock band Vdelli. Peter was the lead vocalist and bass player of The John Meyer's Blues Express when they headlined the 1995, 2004 and 2008 Bridgetown Blues Festival and the 2010 and 2011 Phuket International Blues Festival Thailand.
Peter established Kitchen Cooked Records in May of 2005 recording, producing, mixing and mastering music for local and interstate artists. Peter's productions have achieved numerous number one hits on Triple J Unearthed Website and have won West Australian Music Industry Song contests in 2008, 09 and 2011 in categories varying from instrumental, love, dance and blues and roots.
